BRAEMAR
Founded in 1842, Braemar is a leading international provider of knowledge and skill-based services to the shipping, marine, and energy industries.
We were asked to help design a mobile app that would distill Braemar's specialised knowledge of the shipping industry into easily accessible content that could be sold on a subscription basis.
THE APP
Initially Braemar presented us with an Excell document full of information about shipping lanes, shipbroking and other specialised marine service information. Their idea was to turn this specialised knowledge into a mobile app that could be sold as a subscription service to shipbrokers around the world.
Braemar wanted to turn this specialist information into a useable app that could be sold to brokers on subsciption fee and asked us if we could assist with the front end design.
Working directly with the r&d team at Braemar we set about creating prototypes for the app, iterating each design until the information was clearly and concisely presented. Filter and navigation systems were used to help the brokers drill down into the information with the minimum of effort.
When the mobile app was finished the design was retro fitted onto a desktop version.
COMMUNICATIONS
After the app went live we were then asked to help re-design some of the companies B2B marketing collateral. Icons were also created to represent the companies four main divisions and used throughout promotional material.
